I swore to myself after badly injuring my shoulder that I would wait a few days before taking up parkour again, but as it was getting dark I found myself walking to the district park, then kong vaulting over a picnic table.
I'm not used to doing this infront of strangers and clipped my feet once, falling back horribly and shamefully, inspiring a judgmental stare from a buff military-like guy doing pull ups and jogging with a weighted vest.
After getting my shit together, I was back to successful work. The guy looked over to me again and asked, "Parkour stuff?"
I, being painfully shy, whimpered a yes, and he nodded, "right on."
I was so proud my sorry excuse for a vault was even recognizable as parkour and immediately texted my friend who usually practices with me.
..... something in me felt like sharing that......
Wearing dresses now to prevent myself from jumping off things on campus.... this is painful--
